Update: passage ranking launched yesterday afternoon Pacific Time for queries in the US in English. It will come for more countries in English in the near future, then to other countries and languages after that. We'll update this thread as those further launches happen.

More about passage-based ranking, which will only impact longer, unstructured content. Scroll-to-text is not used for passages. Also, I dug a little deeper with scroll-to-text & noticed it kicked in on 12/6/20 for some sites & 2/3/21 for others. Not when passages rolled out. https://t.co/OM5cMPHQAd
